Three main divisions of astrology is prevalent today and they are
Indian astrology
Western astrology
Chinese astrology
While Indian and western astrology share a common prediction pattern based on the astrological charts or the horoscope, the Chinese astrology predicts the future based on the celestial equator.
When a child is born the exact time, date and day is noted down and later an expert astrologer, after careful analysis of the celestial positions and planetary conditions at the time of the birth will prepare the horoscope of the child. This then becomes a permanent identity, which is often referred to predict the future or to foresee good or bad times.
Mysticism used to predict the future
Many mystic traditions like the Kabbalah use the basics of astrology and combines tradition with astrology to predict the future. Many mystics roam around the world warning people of bad times to come. These paranormal people are revered and their prediction of the future is taken seriously by many traditions. One prominent example is the predictions of the great prophet Nostradamus.
Many traditions have even linked their religion to astrology and they both remain interlinked. Popular astrologers and prophets worldwide regularly forecast and predict the future when the New Year sets in. the celestial positions of the planets during the New Years Eve is taken for consideration while predicting the future.
Many astrologers even suggest remedial measures to waive away the bad omens that they feel is in store for the future. Many people take this seriously and go out of their ways to somehow perform the remedy for a brighter future. Not all astrologers are true nor does all that they say happen. Believers have only one fact to depend on, which is the prediction of the future. But non believers have a million questions to be answered by prophets and mystics who predict the future.
Is future predictable?
What can happen the very next moment in our lives is never certain or is unpredictable, how can someone predict the future with certainty? On what guarantee can we believe these predictions? To predict the future we have to be in the future, but trying to talk of what might happen while staying here in present is something not very dependable. Moreover when something bad or irrelevant is predicted the individual is at risk of not using his best potentials, as he might think it is a waste of time as he already knows what his future has in store for him.
